When Betsy Abrams opened Littleton’s Five Wellbeing Studio and Spa in 2017, she wanted to create a space where the community could improve their well-being. “My goal was to make the spa experience unique, approachable and affordable so that you can take care of yourself on an ongoing basis,” says Abrams.

Five Wellbeing guests can choose from a variety of 30, 60 and 90-minute services at prices ranging from $29 to $199. Every spa- goer starts their experience by selecting from one of five aromatherapy oils specially created for the spa. The scents capture the five elements: water, fire, metal, wood and earth. “We incorporate the chosen scent into the guest’s experience,” says Abrams. Next, the therapist places a Tibetan singing bowl on the guest’s stomach. The bowl’s rich, deep tone and vibration are said to have a soothing effect on the central nervous system. The specialist then uses a 10-point meridian tapping technique to enhance the guest’s relaxation.

…”we take people on an intentional journey that helps them pause and become centered, shift their outlook and repeat those steps to wellbeing.”

Two of the spa’s experiences focus on breath and rest. In the salt inhalation room, guests lounge in a soothing environment while inhaling fine particles of salt circulating in the air. “Breathing in the salt air calms the body and helps with respiratory problems,” says Abrams. Guests may then choose to exhale in a different room equipped with lounge chairs that send sound vibrations up and down the body. “With ‘Exhale’ Sound Resonance Therapy, you feel like you’ve gotten four hours of rest in just 30 minutes,” says Abrams. Sound is a key feature at Five Wellbeing: Its yoga studio has a sound-resonance floor that produces vibrations that travel up through the body and intensify the yoga practice.

Five Wellbeing is the only spa in Colorado—and one of a few in the U.S.—to have a dry float bed and quartz sand table. “With a dry float bed, you float effortlessly while staying dry and receiving a service like our incredible Head to Toe Facial,” says Abrams. Guests who choose the Mindful Reset experience are surrounded by heated quartz sand, which grounds you and relieves stress. Tibetan singing bowls are also placed on key areas of the body to help calm and soothe the nerves. “At Five Wellbeing Spa, we take people on an intentional journey that helps them pause and become centered, shift their outlook and repeat those steps to wellbeing,” says Abrams.
